The Pre-Agent Workshop

What you need to know BEFORE you start your agent search

Welcome to the Pre-Agent Workshop

If you're an actor seeking representation, the question “How do I get an agent?” is likely at the forefront of your mind. My fellow artist, with love I’m here to tell you that is the wrong question to be asking. Instead, take a breath and ask “What do I need to have in place BEFORE I start looking for an agent?

If you don’t get your pre-agent game plan in order, you may find yourself randomly sending emails off into the void, lighting your money on fire in pay-to-plays, or even harming your personal relationships.

It is absolutely possible to find an incredible agent (Yes, even in the “busy season.” Yes, even when they “aren’t looking.”) But if you are going to be successful in your search, you need a strategy, you need clarity about what you are offering, and you need to have a solid understanding of the current market. (Oh yeah, and you need the chops too.)

In this live, two-hour online workshop, we'll cover the preliminary work you MUST do before seeking an agent. We'll discuss marketing materials, relationships in the industry, and other essential elements to have in place BEFORE beginning your search. You'll leave with a personalized checklist of actionable items to tackle, building a powerful foundation that will launch you in the right direction.

Listen up, friend! In a cutthroat market like New York City, talent is only half the battle. You need to have your ducks in a row, so your future agent can hit the ground running on your behalf. The truth hurts, but “I need an agent” isn't enough; you need to get your shit together first. Let me help you.

This workshop is being recorded. All registrants will have access to the recording until 11:59pm eastern on December 31, 2023. If you are unable to make it live and still want access to this workshop, just register as usual. You will be sent the recording link within 24 hours of the event.
